A webinar hosted by National CASA and co-presented with Macon Stewart, Georgetown Center for Juvenile Justice Reform. This is part of the new Advocacy in Action series.
Crossover youth are those involved in both the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. Compared to youth who are only involved in one of those systems, they experience higher rates of later criminal justice involvement, less placement stability, and poorer adult outcomes. In this webinar, Macon Stewart of Georgetown University’s Center for Juvenile Justice Reform will discuss a model that may improve our ability to serve these youth, and participants will hear from a CASA program that has helped these youth succeed.
